about albert ~ his work ~ more work ~ about this site ~ home ~ Baytown Sun Article #1, #2, #3
Designing and implementing this website has been tedious at times, going through several design versions and many visits back to my hometown of Baytown, TX for research and picture taking. But I have looked at it as nothing less but a labor of love for the man that I once knew as Uncle Albert.
The man I used to regularly visit in my late teens on Yupon Street was always pleasant and giving in nature. He would talk to me about painting, discuss his next projects, and show me his inventions that were stored in a back room which were not working at the time, but fascinating to look at. I also remember him being a very good banjo player!
Being a typical youth, I didn’t fully realize or appreciate his creativeness in his body of work until I was much older. Only when I was realizing my own artistic direction did I look back and see where my creative “blood” came from.
If you are a member of the Tauch family in any way, I would love to hear from you. If you also have one of Albert's paintings, I would love to present it here on this website. If so, please do not hesitate to contact me.
Thanks again for visiting!!
